RE:  TRAVEL REMINDER and SCHEDULE

DATE:  FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 2021

Maine currently requires people traveling outside of New England to test, quarantine, or be fully vaccinated (two weeks after your final dose).

If you travelled outside of New England and you are not yet fully vaccinated, you/your child must quarantine for 10 days upon return to Maine unless you obtain and receive a negative COVID-19 test from a sample taken no longer than 72 hours prior to coming back to Maine or upon returning to Maine.  It is important that you quarantine while you await your test results.

COVID-19 testing in Maine is free of charge. Learn where you can get a test by visiting the state’s Keep Maine Healthy website or calling 211.

Everyone age 16 and older are encouraged to get vaccinated now. Appointments can be found by visiting VaccinateME.Maine.gov, or calling Maine’s Community Vaccination Line at 888-445-4111.

In addition to testing and vaccination, please continue to take the steps that have protected the health and safety of our students and staff: wear a mask, maintain physical distancing, wash your hands, and stay home if you don’t feel well.

When we return to school on Monday, April 26th, we will follow the schedule we have been using since October.  In-school learning will take place Monday through Thursday. Friday, April 30th will be an all-remote day for students

Starting Monday, May 3rd, in-school learning will be 5 days per week.  Students will be at school on Friday, May 7th.

If we need to change to a Yellow or Red Schedule, I will send an email and use our SchoolMessenger phone call system to let people know about the change.
