One Campus Fous Group - March 21st at 6:00pm
For the last several years, the RSU 63 Board of Directors has been exploring the possibility of having all our PreK to Grade 8 students on one campus. A lot of background work and research has helped us gain a better understanding of the financial implications.
We would like your input regarding the educational benefits and drawbacks of having all our students on one campus. Please join us for a Focus Group meeting on Thursday, March 21st from 6:00pm until 7:30pm in the Holbrook School Cafeteria. (Child care will be provided.)
If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to share your thoughts, please use the link below to provide us with your input.
We looki forward to hearing from you.
Back in December, we started the process of drafting the RSU 63 Budget for the 2018-19 School Year (FY 19). I would like to thank the RSU 63 Budget and Finance Committee and our Administrative Team for the time and hard work they devoted to developing a budget that meets the needs of our students (while keeping the overall increase to towns below 1%). Please look under “Quick Links” for our draft budget and summary information.
CHEFS (Clfifton, Holden, Eddington Food Support) continues its schedule of every Thursday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. CHEFS is also open the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. If you or someone you know is in need of additional food, please come!
I am happy to announce that the RSU 63 Board of Directors approved new RSU 63 Vision and Mission Statements. (Please see below.) These resonate with me personally and professionally. They capture our purpose and the essence of what our communities and employees want for our students. I believe we can use these statements to guide our efforts and resources and help us become a truly great school system. I look forward to working with you to make this vision a reality. Holden, Eddington, and Holbrook Schools all promote, recognize, and expect positive behavior. Our expectations are taught through our Core Values; Honesty, Kindness, Respect, Responsibility, Compassion, and Courage. Students are recognized for making good choices in a variety of ways including gold slips, kudos cards, and “Busted” slips. We are also aware that incidents of bullying and harassment have a negative impact on school climate and culture as well as academic achievement. This year we have added an online, anonymous reporting system. CLICK ON HEADLINE LINK TO READ MORE.
