Holbrook Beginner Band Parent Meeting
Thursday, September 21 - 6pm in the cafeteria
This is for 5th grade parents to meet Mrs. Ford and learn about our band program. Representatives from David French Music Company will be available to explain their instrument rental program and set up rentals and also have music books and items available for purchase.
Fifth graders were sent home with a packet on Wednesday, September 13 with more information, or it is available online. For more information, email Mrs. Ford at mford@rsu63.org.

World Culture Club: The World Culture Club is an afterschool club where you can learn about other cultures all over the world by trying new foods, playing games, celebrating different holidays and much more. The World Culture Club will meet in 2 sessions this year. One from October to January and the other from January to March every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30. Space is limited, so if you are interested, please see Ms. Norris for a permission slip to sign up for one of the sessions.
Please stay off the soccer field until further notice during recess and other times of the day.
Soccer: Good luck to the boys and girls soccer teams in their games vs Caravel at Holbrook today.
Cross Country: Cross country has practice today until 4:30.
Band: The Parent Meeting for students planning to join Beginner Band is tonight at 6:00 PM in the Holbrook Cafeteria.

Girls Soccer: The girls soccer team earned their first win of the season against Bangor Christian 3 - 2. Ella Williams scored the first goal of the game, followed by a hat trick, scoring 3 goals for the team.. The girls' defense, anchored by Leah Bartlett and Khloe Grass did a great job fending off Bangor Christian's late offensive push, with some huge saves by goalie Elizabeth Downs.
Boys Soccer: The Holbrook boys soccer team won against Bangor Christian last night with a score of 7-0. The boys were led by eighth graders Tyler Rose with 3 goals and Korbin Cullen with 3 goals. The boys played hard and are excited to take on Caravel at home this Thursday.
The boys have practice today from 3:30 to 5:00 and on Friday, from 3:30 to 4:30.
Cross Country: The Running Red Devils took to the course again yesterday at Wagner Middle School. The Boys went first and did themselves proud as four of them finished in the top ten, all earning a ribbon. Wyatt, Jacob, Hunter and Azreal finished in the top ten, while Brett earned his second of the year. The team finished second in the meet. The Girls finished third in their meet, with Lily finishing second overall, while Ella and MacKenzie also earned ribbons. Next week the team will face every team in the league at the Invitational in Orrington. GO RUNNING RED DEVILS!

CHEFS (Clfifton, Holden, Eddington Food Support) continues its schedule of every Thursday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. CHEFS is also open the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. If you or someone you know is in need of additional food, please come!
